Something of a “holy grail” for Stones collectors, this is an original UK Quad cinema poster (30″x 40″) for the 1970 documentary film about the Stones 1969 American tour culminating in tragedy at Altamont. This hastily arranged free festival was policed by Hell’s Angels & things turned sour with one concert attendee murdered in front of the stage. This event is often heralded as the turning point when the 1960’s hippie dream of peace & love gave way to the cynical reality of the 1970’s. This poster is a genuine rarity.
