After a highly successful run as a Broadway musical, My Fair Lady was adapted for the screen from the George Bernard Shaw’s comedy Pygmalion. On a typical rainy London evening outside Covent Garden, rumpled cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle (Audrey Hepburn) is “discovered” by snobbish linguistic expert Henry Higgins (Rex Harrison). Higgins decides that within six months he can turn Eliza into a proper lady. The movie won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor for Harrison, and five other Oscars, and is still considered one of the all-time best movie musicals. With a lovely image by artist Bob Peak, this UK Quad is always a hit with Hepburn enthusiasts.
