This is a rare tri-folded only 1977 Star Wars style A poster with art by Tom Jung.
In 1977, many moviegoers’ first glimpses of the main characters from what would go on to become the most influential film series of all time was right here, in the artwork from Tom Jung’s Star Wars Style A one sheet. Jung used his own son as the model for Luke, snapping Polaroids of the lad holding an empty paper towel roll aloft as a stand-in for a light saber. The resulting composition is one of the most indelible designs in both sci-fi and cinema history.
Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire’s world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader.
